Violence in Mundane Places
Maddy wants a big break. Ava wants people to stop throwing bricks through her window.
When Maddy receives the call that Ava, a woman recently acquitted of murdering her family, is happy to speak to her on her podcast, she is ecstatic. As their meetings go on, they seem to get longer and more intimate: it's hard to discern who is interviewing who. Maddy grapples with her own secrets, and begins to call her practice into question as she catches herself falling harder into her own game of trust, extortion and exploitation.
