This Is My Body

A queer, neurodivergent, fat, female-presenting person with religious trauma walks nearly 500 miles on a pilgrimage to Santiago. Why? Do they even know? They are the least athletic and least religious person in their family. So what is it they need from a pilgrimage?
Over 500 miles, they have plenty of time to move and think and reconcile their religious past with the queer present. Can their current, queer life still bring joy to the Creator? Does it matter if it does? Wrestling with the past stories she and others have told her about her body, can she really make it walking 6+ hours daily for 36 days?

A story about connection to the earth, reconnecting to the body, and reclaiming a queer life from the pits of religion, this tale uses physical theatre, poetry, and a few surprises along the Way of St. James.
